The celebrated British poet and performer Joelle Taylor is coming to Nijmegen! In 2021, Taylor won the prestigious T.S. Eliot Prize for C+nto & Othered Poems, a monument to how lesbian women loved, fought, and sacrificed in the face of discrimination and outright violence. While C+nto brought the vibrant London LGBTQI+ scene of the 1990s to life again, her first novel, The Night Alphabet, will be a futuristic exploration of gender and sexuality set in the year 2233.
On 21 March 2024, Joelle Taylor will present this new book to you, taking to the stage in Bibliotheek Mariënburg to perform her work and answer questions from the audience, with Dr Chris Cusack (Radboud University) serving as interviewer and moderator.
This programme is brought to you by the Radboud University, HAN University of Applied Sciences and Bibliotheek Gelderland Zuid.
